Many times, on social media, I am labelled a ‘gammon’ well, so be it, if the lifelong values I have treasured are to be mocked by those who think they are superior to me then they are to be pitied as they have missed out on the finest days of our once proud nation. I don’t claim to have the answers to our current situation, I wish I did. What I do know is that we must unite to save those precious freedoms we hold dear, and which our current government are determined to erode, bit by bit.

We must reverse the capture of our organisations, the civil service, the schools, the hospitals, the prisons, the quangos, organisations like the National Trust and many, many more which have been infected by ‘woke’ ideology , undermining those traditional values a lot of us hold dear. DEI guidelines have, in effect, decimated the idea that fairness in appointing staff should be based on meritocracy and not on skin colour, gender, or sexual orientation.

Our schools are being held hostage to far left ideology, ensuring that our young people are being taught WHAT to think instead of being taught HOW to think. That schools are bending over backwards to protect the ‘furries’ defies belief. If your child has decided to identify as a cat then give them a litter tray in the corner of the kitchen, cats don’t use toilets, take away their mobile phone, cats don’t use phones, let them use a cat flap to enter the house, feed them cat food, cats don’t eat pizza. If you do this they will revert to being human faster than a cheetah on steroids.

Similarly with trans and gender fluid people, although I do accept that there are people with genuine gender dysmorphia and they must be supported, there are far too many ‘jumping on the bandwagon’. It used to be called attention seeking and that remains what it is. How it can be ascertained which are the genuine cases, who deserve to have the support they need, is becoming more difficult because of the mass of bogus claims the authorities are having to deal with.

So many instances, almost on a daily basis, of the erosion of everything that makes this nation who we are saddens me greatly. Some of the decisions this government are making , some of the stories in the news about the violence on the streets and the inaction against the rape gangs all defy belief and are indicative of the demise of our nation. It feels like we are on a runaway bus careering down a switchback, completely out of control. Who has got the gonads to apply the brakes? For me Nigel Farage has the best chance of stepping up to the plate but we need the right to unite to ensure the lunatics are removed from the control room. For the sake of this country Nigel, Rupert and Ben need to put their egos to one side and ride to the rescue before it’s too late.

That was from the Labour Party itself but their supporters were also out in full flood on every Tameside social media page. ‘ Reform UK can’t even find the constituency’ they proclaimed with glee. Regardless of the fact that the campaign volunteers were so many that they needed a large car park, which happened to be just across the constituency boundary. This was where they convened before canvassing in the ACTUAL constituency itself. But- hey- don’t let facts get in the way of a blatantly lame jibe at the opposition. ‘ You’d better be rich because they will privatise the NHS’ they wailed, all the while clutching their collective pearls. I have lost count of the times I have posted that, despite Nigel confirming on many occasions, it will remain free at the point of need.

All sorts of half truths, spun by omission, until they mean something entirely different. There is a veritable avalanche of negative, some quite vitriolic, posts that have left me wondering if I need to call for Matron to administer some calming meds! Some of these contributors sound virtually unhinged!

Now, I’m all for free speech, and I respect the right for anyone to have their own opinion, even if it is diametrically opposed to my own, however, I do draw the line when what is being spread are out and out lies. Lying by omission is still lying at the end of the day.

It strikes me that certain parties are completely unable to run a positive campaign. Everything is about trashing the opposition parties instead of getting across to the public what positive policies and outcomes they themselves can offer.

The recent Reform UK Party Political Broadcast was a masterclass in getting your message across without even mentioning the other parties. It was inspirational.

The Green and Labour candidates have now been announced, neither of whom strike me as having what it takes to take election, or to do the job come to that.

Sadly, Advance UK have decided to field a candidate to split the vote on the right. I have a lot of time for Nick Buckley, he is a local guy and will probably do quite well. Unfortunately it will make it more difficult for Matt Goodwin to prevail. Now is not the time for Advance UK to be pitting themselves against Reform. If Ben was really so concerned about the country, he would be better to wait until Reform get into power and then challenge them for the following election if they don’t perform well but his ego is getting in the way, one of the reasons he parted from Reform.

Anyway, things are already ‘hotting up’ on the campaign trail with our illustrious PM ( sarcasm in case that wasn’t crystal clear) instructing all 404 Labour MPs to visit Gorton and Denton before polling day, Kemi making a snarky, sarcastic speech decrying her defectors like a toddler saying ‘I’m not your friend any more’ and Zack Polanski AKA ‘The tit whisperer’ appointing a local plumber in an effort to show his ‘working man’ credentials( or in this case woman, Zack does have problems telling men and women apart ). No slight meant to plumbers BTW.

I think it’s time to break out the popcorn!

Once people have a Digital ID its lengthy tendrils can reach into all aspects of our lives. More control and surveillance. They can access our health records, banking services, purchasing history and more. If they are unhappy with anything they can put a block on that ID. For example, if Ed Miliband thinks you are travelling too much he can block purchase of flights, fuel, and hotels. If you happen to express an opinion that challenges the governments world view they can cause havoc in your personal life by accessing all sorts of your services through your Digital ID.

I’m well aware that this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but a conspiracy theory can only be that if it isn’t happening. This is indeed happening. The direction hasn’t changed it is just taking a slightly more circuitous route to the same destination. Rather like the story of putting a frog into tepid water then heating the pan. By the time the frog realises it is in trouble it is too late to do anything about it. At this point in time it is not too late but it is imperative that we push back strongly on this. Many elements to facilitate Digital ID are already in place but the mission creep continues and it must be stopped in its tracks or we will be living in an increasingly Orwellian society.

After 14 years of Tory government one would have thought that Labour had plenty of time to come up with a plan so they could hit the ground running, and yet they appear to be completely unprepared, staggering from one bad decision to the next. Their manifesto was peppered with vague promises, most of which they have ignored. “Voters want change” they trumpeted. What they didn’t say was that it would be change for the worse! “You won’t pay a penny more in council tax” said Keir Starmer, one of the many porkies he has told since coming to power. He, and most of his cabinet, seem to have a rather casual relationship with the truth. I’ve lost count of the lies they have told. Well, here’s a newsflash for them all. Just because you say it doesn’t make it true! We find ourselves being governed by a Prime Minister who is never here, who loves a freebie or six and who I wouldn’t trust to run a whist drive, never mind a country, a chancellor who hasn’t a clue how to run the finances of the country and who seems to have identified a fictitious black hole that even the OBR can’t find. Her strategy, if you can call it that, is tax and profligate spending, which is probably the only way Rachel from accounts can think of to do the job, regardless of how bad an idea that is, a business secretary who lied about his qualifications ( I wonder if he took advice on his CV from Rachel 🤔), en ex foreign secretary who thought that Henry VII was Henry VIII’s son and who looked like a clown on the world stage, an ex Home Secretary who was completely clueless and has been rewarded by promotion to Foreign Secretary ( unbelievable though that may seem) an Attorney General who has spent his career defending people hostile to this country and who thinks it’s a good idea to give away our overseas territory. I often wonder if it is a prerequisite to have your personality and/or sanity removed before being appointed to a Labour cabinet position, it certainly seems that way. I’m not even going to mention Ed Miliband as my blood pressure can’t take it. I could go on but it just becomes more and more depressing.

So, where do we go from here? And will there be anything left of the country to salvage when we eventually manage to remove them from office?

The parlous state of the country’s finances could, in a rather ironic way, be the answer to ejecting this shower from office. Reeves is so out of her depth that it surely can’t be long before Starmer is forced to sack her and, if she goes, then, with a bit of luck, Starmer could follow her out of the door but, unfortunately it can’t come soon enough.

This government, and its Prime Minister, are deeply, deeply unpopular and completely out of touch with the electorate, and that’s not even mentioning the fact that they are completely out of their depth and have been since day one.

It’s time there was a mechanism to force a public vote of no confidence before the country is so trashed that it can’t recover.

5 million voters have already had their democratic right to vote suspended for a year and now it would appear that it is happening for a second time! One has to wonder what the leaders of those 7 councils are thinking. I suspect they are thinking they’re going to be out of a job and are desperately trying to avoid that happening. Of course they couch it in terms of ‘ well it would be a waste of tax payers money’ because of the reorganisation the squatters in number 10 are trying to force through or ‘well Reform may win and they have no experience so we need to avoid instability’. I call BS! They have their snouts in the trough and they don’t want to get off the gravy train. Those 5 million people are entitled to their vote and, just because the people currently in post fear losing, that is not a legitimate reason to deprive them of their rights.

It would appear that desperation breeds strange bedfellows but, if Labour and Tories think this ploy will halt the Turquoise Tsunami, then they need to think again.

Given that it has been incredibly windy all day today in the hills of Radnor Forest, I took a look at the excellent 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 monitor created by Greg Jackson of Octopus Energy, to see how much money industrial wind turbine owners would be raking in today in "curtailment" payments made to them for switching off wind turbines in order to help stabilise the National Grid.
